What does it mean if your tiles are "sustainable"?

Sustainably produced tiles use emissions-free energy sources, conserve water, reduce waste, and use recyclable materials. Here’s a few of our vendors who take their responsibility to a clean and healthy Earth to heart.

ENCORE CERAMICS

Encore Ceramics tiles are produced right here in the Pacific Northwest. Solar panels provide the energy used in the manufacturing process. The factory captures, distills, and re-uses the waste water.

OCEANSIDE GLASS & TILE

Oceanside led the pack in green design long before it became mainstream. Their first tiles were created from old Corona bottles in 1992! Their tiles are still made from up-cycled glass today.

STEULER-FLIESEN

Steuler-Fliesen consistently goes above & beyond environmental standards, recycling 96% of their waste. They are innovative, too, using the heat from the firing process as a dryer!

SUSTAINABILITY MADE EASY

Tile is a great choice for sustainable design because its longevity and the ability to produce it responsibly.

Encore, Oceanside, and Steuler-Fliesen are only a few of our vendors that include their dedication to sustainable practices in their core mission!
